A new football academy has entered Dubai and is ready to make a mark. Sporting Dubai opened to talented young footballers in late summer this year. Technical Director, Nicola Carofiglio, explained what Sporting Dubai would like to achieve.

“The main goal which we are focused on is to grow our players so in three to four years we have the best U18 teams to let them later on play in any pro league.”

The academy trains at GEMS Founders School Al Mizhar on a brand new pitch. Mentoring the young talented players are coaches who are all European EUFA certified, in addition to being former professional footballers with an international background.
