World School Games Set for Global Expansion

Exciting times lie ahead for the Gulf region's rising sports stars, as ‘The World School Games’ looks set for a major expansion in 2019.

Greg Rutherford opens the 2018 World School GamesAlthough no official announcemnets have been made, a source close to the World School Games Organising Committee confirmed that, in addition to the U11 & U13 multi-sport events already scheduled for early 2019, plans are also well under way for a number of single-sport ‘School World Cups’ to take place in 2019.

 

Full details of the events have yet to be released by ‘The World School Games’, but it is understood that World Schools Football Cupthere will be individual events for football, netball, and rugby, and that the events will be staged throughout 2019 in various countries across Europe and the Middle East.

Venues and dates for the events are yet to be revealed, however, Gulf Youth Sport are led to believe that partnership agreements have been signed with some of World Schools Netball Cupthe world’s leading universities and venues, tying in with the organisers' vision to give the world’s best young athletes the opportunity to compete in the best facilities on the international stage.
