Charlie’s Pink is Punk U16 Victory

WONDER KID WEDNESDAY

There’s really no end to Charlie Gould’s list of incredible achievements. The British 12-year-old lives and breathes sport to the fullest extent, planning his whole week outside of studying at Dubai College around a variety of activities. These range across anything from cycling to Crossfit but his main passions are Rugby and Triathlons.

Charlie came in first place in the U16 division of the recent Ignite Pink is Punk Aquathlon, making an incredible start to the new season of races. Some of his other recent highlights include: representing UAE in the Biathle World Championships, winning several junior triathlons over the last year, captaining his school rugby team, playing for Dubai Exiles rugby club and much more.

Dubai College must be very proud of Charlie’s achievements, as they awarded him the Headmaster’s Cup for outstanding sporting achievement as well as the Victor Ludorum (Outstanding Male Sportsman) award last year. He represents the school for Rugby, Aquathlon, Cross-Country and Swimming.

To accompany his sporty schedule, Charlie trains at InnerFight with Mia Akerlund. Mia supports him with dedicated strength and conditioning and Charlie loves to do Crossfit to help him improve at the sports he loves. He’s become part of the family at InnerFight, even joining them on one of their weekly podcasts to discuss his passion for getting kids into sports and fitness.

It’s no question that Charlie is going to do great things in the future. He hopes to represent England for Rugby Sevens after finishing his education. Over the course of the next year, Charlie wants to compete in as many multi-format races as possible and continue to improve on all of his sports with the support from Crossfit at InnerFight. This inspirational Wonder Kid hopes to be a role model for others wanting to follow in the same footsteps and encourage as many young people as possible to be more active.
