Dubai British School Jumeirah Park’s plans for the Dubai Fitness Challenge weren’t thought of overnight. PE teachers at the school have been thinking up ways to encourage students to be fully involved in the Dubai 30×30 Fitness Challenge for weeks.
And based on what PE teacher Kimberley Janes told GYS, there’ll be no shortage of fitness activities for students.
“Despite the restrictions we are looking forward to our Dubai 30×30 fitness challenge here at DBSJP. We are setting our students the challenge to participate in daily fitness related activities for a minimum of 30 minutes for a total of 30 days,” she said.
“It has been inspiring to see the engagement levels from everyone within our DBSJP community. As part of the Dubai 30×30 month as a school we will be having parent versus staff events, our community providers are offering free taster sessions throughout the month and we will also be hosting four Fitness Fest Enrichment Days throughout the month, as well as a Primary Scoot-athon. These are all in addition to daily wake up, shake up events.
“It is wonderful to work for a school where they value the importance of community projects such as the Dubai 30×30 fitness challenge as well as acknowledging the importance of living an active and health lifestyle.”
Sporting ECAs also returned recently at DBSJP, making November a month to look forward to for sporty students and PE teachers alike.
