There’s no better time to spring into competition this year than at the inaugural GYS Spring Football Cup on February 19-20th.
In a hugely exciting new football tournament to hit the Middle East, the weekend will be a hive of activity with eight age groups destined to compete in the seven-a-side football tournament.
A mammoth turnout of 150-180 teams are expected to compete and they’ll take the field at The Football Center–Dubai Sports City’s supreme indoor and outdoor football hub.
Teams will be divided into eight age categories meaning sides from U8 to U15 will be catered for, and two separate divisions will allow teams to compete against sides of similar experience creating some sensational match ups to look forward to.
The innagural GYS Spring Cup welcomes squads of up to 12 players and all sides can look forward to a minimum of five matches to exhibit their skills in. Each age group will only be required on one day of the tournament with group matches and finals all contested within a morning or afternoon time slot
Elite Sports Academy officials will be casting their expert eye as referees for the 12-minute matches for the U8-U11 divisions and 14-minute games for the higher age groups.
All Dubai Sports Council protocols will be strictly adhered to, ensuring young footballers can simply get on with doing what they do best – tearing up the football field.
