After 40 days and close to 750 entries, the winners of the DASSA 1km Virtual Running Challenge have been announced.
DASSA vice-chairman Niall Statham was ecstatic with the huge volume of students and schools that got behind the initiative encouraging primary school students to remain active.
“I’d just like to thank everyone who’s participated in the DASSA Virtual 1km Run. It’s been a massive success,” he said.
“It’s been great to see people returning with not just one entry, but coming back time and time again and improving their times.”
A wide spread of schools shown on the leaderboards highlighted the breadth of the competition in Dubai.
