Dubai College’s Chloe swam the English Channel without leaving her 6.5m backyard pool.
That’s an incredible 7,700 laps the year 7 student completed across two days, totally a mammoth 50km.
Chloe’s mission was not to leave England and arrive in France, but to raise money for Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders). The organisation is helping provide protective equipment for health staff across many countries during the current pandemic.
Spectacularly Chloe has already raised AED9391 with her brilliant swim in the pool, doubling what she initially intended.
The idea to swim the length of the English Channel came after Chloe saw 99 year-old Captain Tom Moore walking laps of his Bedfordshire garden to raise money for the NHS.
