GEMS Modern Academy boasts an athlete that knows no boundaries.
Middle-distance runner Jonathan Shajr won two gold medals, and broke two U13 World School Games records at the international event in Dubai on Saturday.
Incredibly they were both records he held from last year, showing how far he has come in 12 months.
Shajr shaved 11 seconds off last year’s 600m time, finishing with the stopwatch showing 1:33.71, while he was more than six seconds ahead of second in the 1200m final.
Having improved exponentially in just 12 months, Shajr is certainly one athlete to watch out for in the coming years.
