It was Touch as far as the eye could see on Saturday morning as the cricket stadium at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi played host to the ME Touch festival. Over three hundred children from schools and clubs across the UAE took park in a series of 14 minute matches.
John Larkins, Founder of ME Touch, described the day as a huge success, and has ambitious plans for the sport in the months ahead: "It's an exciting time for ME Touch across the Gulf. The popularity in schools speaks volumes, especially with young girls, and you can see so many of them out there enjoying themselves today! We hope to run many more festivals like this one in future at this magificent facility."
