Track Royalty: Cody and Jayden Guntley Dominate the Arena with Sibling Trebles

Every now and then, a single family completely takes over a racetrack. That was exactly the case this weekend as brothers Cody and Jayden Guntley put on an absolute masterclass in sprinting and jumping.

The sibling duo, who study at Royal Grammar School (RGS) Guildford Dubai and train with Ultimate Athletics, left fields in their wake. Together, they secured a staggering six gold medals across the junior divisions. It was a historic performance that culminated in a spectacular new UAE club record.

Cody Guntley: The Under-12 Clean Sweep

At just 10 years old, Cody Guntley proved he is one of the most versatile athletes in his age bracket. Competing in the Under-12 category, Cody showcased a lethal mix of explosive power and flat-line speed.

He secured a flawless triple gold medal haul, dominating both the 80m and 150m sprint events on the track. He then took to the pit to secure his third gold in the Under-12 Long Jump. His ability to switch from the technical demands of jumping to pure sprinting marks him as a massive prospect for the future.

Jayden Guntley: The Record-Breaker

Not to be outdone by his younger brother, 12-year-old Jayden Guntley delivered an equally devastating performance in the Under-14 division. Jayden mirrored Cody’s treble by capturing gold in the Under-14 Long Jump and the 300m.

However, his crowning achievement came in the Under-14 150m. Blasting out of the blocks, Jayden stopped the clock at an incredible 18.96 seconds. This time officially sets a brand-new UAE Academy Club Record, making him the fastest U14 athlete across all academies in the Emirates.

The Ultimate Blueprint

The brothers’ historic weekend is a massive testament to the synergy between school and club sports. The foundational support from RGS Guildford Dubai, combined with the elite-level coaching at Ultimate Athletics, has created the perfect launchpad for the Guntley brothers.

With six gold medals and a UAE record now safely in the family trophy cabinet, the Guntley name is officially written into the regional athletics folklore.
