Repton Al Barsha crowned DASSA Swim Champions 2025

Repton Al Barsha have been crowned DASSA Swimming Champions for the first time after securing the Division 1 title at the Primary Swim Finals.

The event, which was held at Hamdan Sports Complex earlier this month, was organised by the Dubai Affiliated Schools Sports Association (DASSA) and saw over 60 schools from across Dubai compete.

Repton Al Barsha’s Junior Swim Team, consisting of 33 students from Years 3 to 6, competed in a series of individual and relay events. Points were awarded for every race position, ranging from ten for a 1st place finish to one for 10th place.

Repton Al Barsha’s Junior Swim Team comprised of 33 students aged between 7 and 11-years-old.

Following an outstanding series of performances and the final tally of points, Repton Al Barsha were named overall Division 1 Champions. This marked a historic first for the school and was a milestone moment for the Cognita group, as the first Cognita school to earn this recognition.

As well as an incredible team performance, Charlotte Fairbairn broke the UAE national record in the 10-year-old girls’ 50m Breaststroke – a remarkable individual accomplishment.

Chandini Misra, Principal of Repton Al Barsha, said: “This is a landmark moment for Repton Al Barsha and a reflection of the commitment, discipline and teamwork shown by our students.

“Securing the Division 1 title at such a competitive level is a significant accomplishment, and we are delighted to see our pupils’ efforts celebrated on such a platform.

“We’re equally grateful to our dedicated staff and the wider school community for their continued support.”
