The UAE netball community is about to receive a masterclass from the very top of the global game.
ICE Education, in association with the Dubai Affiliated School Sports Association (DASSA), has announced a one-off Netball Masterclass led by Dame Noeline Taurua — Head Coach of the world-renowned New Zealand Silver Ferns. The session takes place on Saturday, 5 December 2026, at Dubai College, and represents one of the most significant coaching development opportunities ever brought to the region.
What Wins Under Pressure
Titled “What Wins Under Pressure,” the masterclass is built around the psychological and tactical blueprints that Dame Noeline has used to build the most successful netball programme on the planet.
The interactive session explores three core pillars that define elite team performance. Clarity focuses on establishing crystal-clear tactical frameworks under match conditions. Connection looks at how players unite to execute seamless decision-making under intense pressure. Composure addresses the development of emotional control and poise in the moments that matter most.
Beyond the tactical instruction, delegates will have the optional opportunity to take to the court and participate in practical drills — gaining firsthand experience of being coached by a World Cup and Commonwealth Gold-winning legend.
A Decorated Legacy
Dame Noeline Taurua stands among the most decorated figures in international sport. Currently in her eighth year as Head Coach of the Silver Ferns, she led New Zealand to a historic Netball World Cup title in 2019 — their first in 16 years — before securing Commonwealth Gold in Glasgow earlier this year.
In the 2020 New Year Honours, she became only the third netballer in history to be appointed a Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit. As a player, she represented the Silver Ferns at the 1995 World Cup and the 1998 Commonwealth Games — a career that laid the foundation for a coaching legacy that has redefined what New Zealand netball is capable of.
