Dynasty in the Making: Safa Community School Returns to London to Defend World School Swim Titles
The starting horn sounds at the London Aquatics Centre this weekend. All eyes will be on the “Blue Wall” of Safa Community School (SCS). The Dubai-based powerhouse arrives in the UK as the reigning titans of the World School Swim Championships.
Under Swim Lead Chris Hubble, Safa has built a formidable legacy in the Olympic waters of London. Following back-to-back years of dominance, the squad now aims to cement its status as the most successful programme in the history of the event.
A Legacy of Gold
The “Safa Era” is defined by elite performance. The school returns to London with an incredible “Roll of Honour” to protect:
- 2024: U13 & U15 World School Swim Champions
- 2025: U11 & U13 World School Swim Champions
For Hubble and his team, 2026 is the chance for a historic “three-peat.”
“The London Aquatics Centre is a second home for us,” says Hubble. “Our athletes thrive on the Olympic atmosphere. We want to compete at the highest level. We want to continue the standards we set over the last two seasons.”
The Global Standard
SCS enters as the team to beat. However, they face a truly global field. The 2026 championships feature talent from Singapore, Kenya, Nigeria, and Europe.
The diversity of this field ensures every medal is earned. The World School Games Event Series continues to grow in stature. The London event remains the “Crown Jewel” for schools that prioritize high-performance swimming.
The SCS Blueprint
Safa takes a holistic approach to the tour. They look beyond individual medals. The school focuses on team points and relay coordination. This strategy was the key to their previous overall titles. This weekend, the “SCS Sharks” will prove their blueprint is the global gold standard.
