Train Like a Pro: TWEDEX Unveils 2026 Manchester City Residential Programmes for Young Athletes
For any young footballer, the ultimate dream is to step inside the world of a Premier League champion. Today, TWEDEX has officially opened the gates to that dream, announcing the launch of the 2026 Manchester City Academy Summer Camps.
Hosted at the state-of-the-art City Football Academy (CFA)—the same world-class facility used by the Manchester City first team—these residential programmes offer a unique immersion into the blue half of Manchester. This is more than a summer camp; it is a full-scale “Life of a Pro” experience.
Three Specialized Pathways
To ensure every player gets the most out of their time in Manchester, the 2026 programme is divided into three distinct tracks:
- The Development Programme (Ages 9-13): A high-energy focus on core skills and game understanding. Young players will dive into small-sided games (1v1 to 9v9) while building confidence, teamwork, and a deep connection to the “City” way of playing.
- The Performance Programme (Ages 14-17): For the senior athletes, this is a deep dive into the professional world. Utilizing CITYPLAY wearable technology, players will track their performance data (speed, dribbling, first touch) while attending workshops on injury prevention, psychology, and performance analysis.
- Football & Language (Ages 9-17): An international experience that combines elite coaching with English language development. Participants will learn through football-themed scenarios, from mock press conferences to match commentary, all while training alongside peers from over 50 nationalities.
The Full “City” Experience
Every package is designed to be all-encompassing, providing parents with peace of mind and players with an unforgettable week:
- 15 hours of official coaching per week at the City Football Academy.
- 15 hours of off-pitch education (Nutrition, Wellbeing, and Technology).
- Full Board Accommodation in high-quality en-suite rooms.
- Exclusive Access: A tour of the iconic Etihad Stadium and a visit to the City Store.
A Global Community
In 2025, this programme hosted players from over 50 countries. The 2026 season promises to be even bigger. “We are proud to work with Manchester City to bring this to our network,” says the TWEDEX team. “It’s about developing skills that extend well beyond the pitch—confidence, independence, and global friendships.”
