Its just Cricket’s boys and girls had a night to remember last Sunday when they were given the opportunity to meet, greet and learn from their Sydney Thunder heroes.
Shane Watson (Australian International All rounder) currently playing with the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League and Chris Green (Sydney Thunder and Quetta Gladiators spinner) came to the session at Its Just Cricket to give the players their end of term certificates and give some pointers to the students.
“It was simply fantastic to have the guys down from Sydney Thunder and really shows our strong relationship with the Big Bash League team. Shane and Chris were brilliant with the IJC Players and spent lots of time interacting with the kids and parents. It’s one thing watching them train or play but to actually be trained by them is another level” Sam Charnley international director of Cricket for KOOH Sports.
"Watson and Green's timing could not have been better, as their appearance coincided with the end-of-term certificate hand out, as well as the launch of our term 3 programme".
With the new term up and running, the popularity of the fresh-faced Cricket Academy has seen an increase in demand for local coaches at Its Just Cricket, as Charnley explained.
"Brad (IJC's head of development) is currently working with a PSL team it’s really showed the skills and quality IJC are providing".
