The DASSA virtual series rolls into Ramadan with the Rugby Juggling Challenge. The GYS Media Team met up with DASSA Vice-Chair Niall Statham and UAERF High Performance Director Apollo Perelini at JESS Arabian Ranches to bring the challenge to life.
Students have the option of taking part in the Challenge individually, or as a group of no more than 5. In both categories, students will be tasked to juggle the rugby ball as many times as possible without using their hands. Each juggle equals one point (teams can take a maximum of 5 consecutive touches per individual).
This challenge is open to primary and secondary students, and all entries are due in by Thursday May 13, 2021.
Although this competition is run by Dubai’s school sporting body, this challenge is open to every school and sporting academy across the world, so have a go and see how you compare to your peers around the globe!
To enter, tag DASSA on Instagram or Twitter and use the hashtag #DASSARugby, stating the school or academy involved and year level. Alternatively, email the videos to admin@dassasport.org. Good luck!
