DASSA Select’s U-11 boys’ football side stepped up a year level to compete in a tournament against U-12 squads from football academies in Dubai.
Leading academies including Barca, Spanish, GoPro and ISM were each present and coach Joe Kearney praised how his side developed on and off the field.
“The DASSA U-11 squad were excellent in all fixtures,” he said.
“The training sessions in the lead up to the tournament were focused on combination and creative play with this being evident in the games with the boys creating numerous chances to score.
Furthermore, the other main focus of the program was to ensure the students develop socially and once again this was evident throughout with the boys being positive during training, games and during rest periods with some friendships being developed lasting beyond the program.”
