Secondary schools across Dubai were able to restart sports fixtures this week as DASSA leagues got up and running following the recent pause at the start of the new year.
PE lessons and extra curricular activity made a return last week following updated guidance from KHDA as the Omicron wave of Covid-19 recedes.
The Term 2 secondary netball season kicked off on Monday with a total 19 fixtures taking place across Dubai as U12 and U13 sides battled it out in their respective divisions. The U16 girls took over on Tuesday after school, with students and teachers delighted to be back on the court in their team’s colours.

On Wednesday the U14 and U19 netball seasons get underway with ten matches set to take place throughout the city.
The week will round off with a very busy Thursday afternoon of DASSA cricket and netball, while JESS and Jumeirah Baccalaureate School are scheduled to take part in a friendly swimming meet.
Secondary boys and girls rugby and boys volleyball will begin from Monday 21st February, with primary school fixtures also set to resume when schools restart following the February half term break.
