Dubai's young ice hockey players have made their mark in Turkey. Galaxy Hockey Academy brought home two medals from the Istanbul International Youth Ice Hockey Cup, with the Galaxy Warriors U11s winning gold and the U13s taking silver.
The tournament ran from 15 to 17 October at İstanbul Buz Adası, with youth teams from countries including Turkey, Kyrgyzstan and Bulgaria.
Gold for the U11s
The Galaxy Warriors U11s topped their category, finishing ahead of Alga Bishkek from Kyrgyzstan in second and Turkish side Buz Adam in third. Their reward was the trophy, and medals all round.
Silver for the U13s
The U13s also made the podium. Buz Adam won the age group, with Galaxy Warriors second and Irbis-Skate of Bulgaria third.

A Growing Club in Dubai
Galaxy Hockey Academy trains more than 300 children from 38 nationalities at Sport Society Mall in Mirdif, starting from age three. The club's senior team plays in the Emirates Hockey League, and the academy is an official partner of the UAE Winter Sports Federation. The Warriors travelled to Istanbul with the support of the club's general partner, AMYLCO.
Next Up: The GLXY Cup at Home
The club now turns its attention to home ice. Galaxy Hockey Academy will host the GLXY Cup "New Year in Dubai", an international youth tournament at Galaxy Arena in Dubai, from 30 December 2026 to 4 January 2027. Clubs from several countries have been invited, with five age groups: U7, U9, U11, U13 and U15.
Teams will play both 5v5 and 3v3 games, followed by a playoff round, and the games will be streamed online with a commentator. Off the ice, a New Year's Eve dinner on 31 December will bring players, parents and coaches together. Full details are on the GLXY Cup tournament page.
Two teams, two medals and a home tournament on the way: a strong start to the season for the Galaxy Warriors.
