With the new year underway for the Gulf youth, sport is now picking up where it left off in 2022.

Al Bateen Academy’s Year 7 Girls received the football experience of a lifetime recently in Abu Dhabi. The Manchester City Football Club visited the school to help teach the youngsters healthy habits through the exciting sport of football. The girls would then participate in many different football drills, such as passing, shooting, and dribbling. Finally, the pupils learned what it takes to balance a healthy lifestyle and how to maintain their physical fitness.

GEMS New Millennium School made it an initiative by starting their second term strong with sport. Grades 9, 11, and IGCSE/AS levels had recently taken part in the 8th Annual Athletic Meet hosted by the Dubai Police Club Stadium. The mission of this movement was not only to promote strength and fitness movements in school, but the community as well. Activities performed included majorette routines, cardio workouts, and physical teamwork challenges.

Brighton College Dubai decided to climb into 2023 by taking Year 7 and 8 students to obstacle course climbing sessions at Ecoventure. During their residential stay at Ecoventure the pupils challenged themselves to get outside their comfort zones. Further leading to building their confidences and forming teamwork abilities with fellow peers.

Jumping into parkour action, local youth in Dubai tested their fitness to new heights in the fast past sport. Ages 11-17 were taking part in the adventures sport by jumping over and onto objects to make it to the next obstacle course in record time. Currently Parkour DXB has three franchises in the Dubai community. These branches include Al Quoz, Port Rashid and at the Circle Mall, JVC.
