World School Basketball Championships Set to Return to Abu Dhabi

Teams from across the globe are set to descend on Abu Dhabi for the second edition of the World School Basketball Championships, hosted at New York University.

The tournament will take place 11-13 November 2022, with teams from across the Middle East, Europe and Asia set to take part in a bid to be crowned winners of the World School Basketball Championships.

With an opening ceremony and two days of competitive basketball action the event is set to be one of the highlights of the school sports calendar – and as Official Media Partner we are excited to be in attendance every step of the way.

This year’s event will see a three-point contest take centre stage as well as player screening assessments which will open doors to young athletes hoping to continue their educational and sporting journey as part of the US college system.

Commenting on the launch of the World School Basketball Championships, James Hair of the WSG Events Organising Committee said:

“We are delighted to be back with the World School Basketball Championships following a couple of years away due to Covid. The 2019 event was a brilliant exhibition of school basketball, with lots of high-quality play and nail-biting moments throughout the tournament.

“The facilities at New York University are some of the best in the country and we are really lucky to have their support for the event in November. We can’t wait to see hundreds of passionate basketball players showing what they can do in the court later this year.”
