du La Liga HPC fought off new boys City Football Club in the final game of the season to clinch the U18 FAAL title for the second successive year.
Having won all of their matches up until that point, HPC knew that anything but a defeat would guarantee the league title. Despite only dropping two points all season, CFC knew that only a win would be good enough for them.
With everything to play for, the match started at a predictably frantic pace, with a number of half-chances and some heavy challenges from both teams.
Jack Manson then gave the men in red the lead on the 28-minute mark with a stunning left-footed free kick from 22 yards.
The celebrations had barely subsided when HPC hit straight back; Lotfi Machou rising above the crowd to divert a thunderous header past the powerless CFC goalkeeper, taking the teams into the dressing room all-square.

After some seemingly innocuous discussions involving both sets of players and the referee, CFC's Hammam Abdelrazig was given his marching orders, much to the bemusement of CFC's players, fans and technical staff.
With the match stretched and CFC beginning to tire, HPC dealt the killer blow with five minutes of the match remaining. CFC's otherwise outstanding Max Foster brought down HPC's Armen Bzbikien inside the box, allowing Mohammed Haytham to hammer the ball home from the penalty spot. The goal sparked wild celebrations amongst the HPC players, rounding off a flawless season and bringing the title home for the men in blue.
