Dubai's PE teaching community were given a real treat on Friday when Team GB's Conrad Williams paid a visit to the latest DXB PE event, staged at the world class sports facilities at The Swiss International Scientific School.
DXB PE is continuous professional development programme for PE teachers, by PE teachers, and exists to utilise the expertise within the DASSA community to enhance professional learning and promote collaboration.
With athletics season upon us, teachers were given an insight into Conrad's routine, training methods and the secrets to his success on the track. "We have over 80 teachers from 45 schools, who will return to school next week and deliver better athletics sessions to their classes", said Ed Mosely, founder of DXB PE, "Thousands of kids will benefit from the knowledge Conrad is sharing with us all today".
The multi-medal winning 400m meter star is in Dubai on behalf of the new Athletes in Schools Programme, which kicks off at Kings’ School Nad Al Sheba, on Sunday 4th March. More details of the programme can be found here.
