RELAY FOR LIFE LAUNCHES IN THE UAE
Friends of Cancer Patients’ Relay For Life is taking place for the first time in the UAE on November 17th – 18th at American University of Sharjah. Relay for Life is an inspiring overnight community event with plenty of entertainment for the whole family. Relay is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track for 24 hours. Each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps.
Relay for Life gives everyone a chance to celebrate cancer survivors and carers; remember loved ones lost to cancer; and fight back by raising awareness and funds to support the work of Friends of Cancer Patients. People from all walks of life will walk around a track at their own pace during the event. The event is for people of all ages and fitness levels – anyone can take part! Registration costs AED 100 per adult and AED 60 per child but a family offer is also available costing AED 250 for 2 adults and 2 children up to age 13.
