The cream of Dubai's young footballing talent were out in force on Thursday at the Repton Under-11 Football Tournament.
In addition to the stars of tomorrow, some stars of the present were also in attendance.
Manchester United legend, Michael Silvestre, came along to lend his support, whilst freestyler Jamie Knight (Top 10 in the world) wowed the crowds with a jaw-dropping pre-tournament performance.
Despite the heat, there were some cool heads out on the field, and the standard of football on display from both boys and girls was fantastic. With the short match-time and ferocity of competition, many games had to be settled by th
e dreaded penalty shootout, including hosts Repton, who saw their dreams of a victory on home soil dashed by the spot-kick lottery at the semi-final stage.
The victors of that shootout, Dubai English Speaking School, made no mistake in the final, as they dispatched of a talented and stubborn JESS Jumeirah.
In the girls section, Foremarke emerged victorious, defeating up-and-coming Kings Al Barsha in a fantastic final.
