du LaLiga HPC Achieves Record 6-match Winning Run in du UAE FA Academy League

 

du LaLiga HPC maintained a 6-week winning run in the du UAE FAAL League, after defeating E-Sports on home turf at the Sevens. In the most eagerly anticipated matches of week 6, E-Sports were well organised but failed to interrupt du LaLiga HPC’s hot winning streak.  du LaLiga HPC star Ahmed Arif opened the scoring on the 5-minute mark, latching on to a fantastic cross by Ahmed SalamArif almost made it 2 when he was put through by Rajeh, but E-Sports goalkeeper Umar Zahid made a brilliant save.

In the second half, E-Sports came back strong, led by the experience of Coach Terry Kidd, attacking the du LaLiga HPC backline at every opportunity. du LaLiga HPC wingers Hallal and Salam were a constant threat for the home side in the first half but it was clear E-Sports had adapted tactically in the second half to combat their threat. With twenty minutes to go E-Sports launched a series of attacks on the du LaLiga HPC goal, but goalkeeper Wahdan stood strong with a string of first class saves. Moments before the final whistle, a superb pass from Hallal allowed Matni to hit the back of the net once more, which led du LaLiga HPC to a 2-0 win and pinned E-Sports back to 4th position in the League table.

Over at Al Ain on Thursday, Al Ain Club maintained their winning streak and reclaimed 2nd place in the League table, thanks to 4 goals from David Guel and additional 3 goals from his team members, which landed them a 7-0 win against Legends, with still two games at hand.

Three matches kicked off Friday afternoon, the first taking place in Ras Al Khaimah between Emirates Club and FCBEscola.  In a heated match, the boys from FCBEscola took the win 3-1, which helped them attain 5th place in the table.

In Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Elite put on an impressive display against Dubai’s PSG finishing the match with a superb 4-0 win and moving up to take 3rd place in the League Table. 

In another thrilling match, Al Jazira Club won 3-1 over EFF from Abu Dhabi with 2 goals in the last 2 minutes of the match.

Dubai’s Elite FC and TFA played a tough match on Saturday with TFA opening the score-line with a penalty 6 minutes into the match and continuing strong to take the win at 3-1.
