FOOTBALL: Spanish Soccer Schools Shine at GEMS Silicon 7’s

Hundreds of budding footballers descended on Dubai this weekend for the The GEMS Silicon 7's.

The tournament, run by ESports Football Clubplayed host to 40 teams from three different age groups at GEMS Wellington Academy in Silicon Oasis.

The U6 Tournament was a five-a-side format and all matches were end to end from start to finish. The Final was a no different and, despite Spanish Soccer Schools edging a 1-0 win over Soccer Kids Destroyers with a late goal from Simon, it could have been either side's game. The Spaniards also ran out winners in the seven-a-side U8 category, overcoming EFC Suarez 5-2 with goals from Ryan (2), Woody, Gabriel, Adriane and Lewis.

Julio, coach at Spanish Soccer Schools, was proud of his young players, "We are teaching children to become clever footballers with a focus on technical skills and ball mastery. The U8's were especially impressive today, they have improved every week since returning from the holidays!"

Manchester City Soccer Schools were comfortable winners at U10 defeating Pro Sports Academy 4-0 with goals from Mido Said (2), Ahmed Hamed and Zack Toye.
