UAE Football Festival kicks off with du Football Champions First leg: Abu Dhabi, incl. Al Ain, Nov 10

Season 4 of the du Football Champions, in partnership with LaLiga and home of the UAE Schools and Streets Cups, is days away and over 150 teams in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain have already signed up to battle for national glory.

duFC’s crucial role in discovering talent, scouting the best players across the country and providing them with professional international standard training continues to produce life-changing opportunities for players in the UAE. This year, duFC takes its on-the-pitch platform to new heights by expanding through du Talents – the Middle East’s first digital scouting platform.

Thousands of players have registered on du Talents where they will create their profiles, upload videos of themselves and build their CV as scholars and athletes thereby showing the best of themselves to scouts and coaches around the region and the world.

duFC begins this Saturday, Nov 10 in Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi and at Al Ain Club Al Maqam Branch in Al Ain. The tournament kicks off the season’s football festival ahead of the FIFA World Club Cup and the Asia Cup.

The du Football Champions is a nationwide initiative featuring the UAE’s official schools Cup and Streets Cup and is the only international youth football scouting platform.  Conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Dubai Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Sharjah Sports Council, du Football Champions aims to achieve sustainable human development through the discovery of promising talents, who will raise the bar on sports excellence at local and national teams as they become the next generation of professional male and female footballers.

Played to world-class standards, the cups will be conducted at a national level and played in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The Championship is open to boys and girls 10-17 and will pave the way for youth to cultivate their sporting talents and aptitudes, by enabling them to participate either through their school, or together with their friends.
