DASSA U14s: GEMS Metropole 4-1 Nord Anglia School
GEMS Metropole hosted Nord Anglia U14s in a goal-filled DASSA clash at the Metropole campus on Tuesday afternoon.
It was the visitors who took the lead after five minutes when a free kick from just inside the GEMS Metropole half wasn’t cleared properly and a clever finish from a Nord Anglia midfielder made it 0-1.
With ten minutes on the clock the home side won a corner on the right-hand side after a period of pressure. Metropole took full advantage and a header from Saif found the net to level the scores at 1-1.
From that point on the home side never looked back. A Metropole one on one forced a good saved from the Nord Anglia goalkeeper before Saif double his personal tally for the match with a strike into the bottom corner from ten yards out.

The second half started brightly for both sides with chances in either half but with neither side able to keep comfortable possession.
15 minutes into the second half it was GEMS Metropole who extended their lead. A direct free-kick from a tight angle at the left hand side of the box was taken by Saif, and his shot at the near post proved too much for the Nord Anglia goalkeeper.
GEMS scored again with just a minute to play after some good work on the right wing from Hamza resulted in a cross-come-shot which surprised the goalkeeper and found its way into the back of the net.
